Likewise walking along Schaghticoke Road in Kent yesterday, the woods were very quiet indeed, no ducks on the ponds and only a handful of hooded mergansers on the river there - but a couple of brown creepers were singing their complex songs so we could really enjoy them! And one immature bald eagle.

I went for an early afternoon hike at Red Cedar Lake SP in Lebanon today.
The woods are still very quiet, but it was nice to hear several singing
Brown Creepers along the way. Also hear some Spring Peepers. More
indications that spring is on its way.
