Yesterday, Eric Masterson discovered a REDHEAD in the flooded cornfields off of Wetherby Road in Charlestown. It is still being seen there today. To view this bird, you’ll need to pull over on the side of Route 12A right near the overpass and a scope will be needed. DO NOT walk into the cornfields from the end of Wetherby Road as it will definitely flush all the waterfowl. Also, the bird was seen at a pretty good distance out and you won’t even be able to see it by walking into fields. The overpass provides an excellent overhead view of the entire field and it doesn’t spook the birds. Also, the police will kick you off the rail road tracks if you try to view it from there and the birds will surely be flushed as the tracks are very close to where the bird has been seen. That’s all the advice I can give. Good luck!
