I went over there yesterday with my scope and got some videos and
photos. It appears that the eggs have hatched. Since I can't look into
the nest I'm basing this on observation of the parents. Their behavior
has changed completely. Before, they would sit on the eggs, get up
briefly to turn them and sit back down. Yesterday they were more on the
edge of the nest and bent over with the head down in the cup. I could
see jerky movement that looked like bits being torn from a fish. Call
me crazy but peering into the nest their facial expression looked like a
new parent looking at an infant. There seemed to be vocalization as
well. Very exciting.
