Differentiated from nearby red-tailed hawk by plumage, longer and narrower wings tapered at end. This hawk passed over perhaps 1 1/2 the height of the eucalyptus grove here. 4:40 pm westbound adult light morph. This bird lingered to circle a few times before continuing west. Probably three times the height of the eucalyptus grove when it continued west."

Bird in the Scirpus patch by the assist ramp when I arrived. Again one bird seen later with John Luther. That bird flew about 10-15m NE and dropped down into the Salicornia/Jaumea. Not heard singing."
