Subject: [CT Birds] Whippoorwill surveying
Hi All,

As spring progresses and our breeding birds start making it home, I wanted to throw this out to any interested folks. We are embarking on a bunch of whippoorwill work over the next few years. One facet of our work will focus on monitoring and re-surveying the routes that we established 15 years ago. These surveys are conducted at night, with times varying depending on the moon phase and when the moon is above the horizon. Routes are approximately 20 miles long, with 10 survey stops. Surveys are for 6 minute listening periods at each stop.

If anyone is interested in adopting a survey route, please contact me at <min.huang...>

Thank you!!

Min Huang
