It's been a long time since I've seen displaying woodcock's.
Having recently moved to West Virginia from Colorado(where there are only a handful of documented woodcock sighting's) Decided to try and see if any might be displaying this evening at Snake Hill WMA which is fairly close to me
The large field is perfect habitat for them and was not disappointed.Starting at about 630 PM about a dozen birds started flying about and peenting.One landing just a few feet from me
