We went out on our porch about 6:30 this evening. Among the people noises and dogs barking we listened to towhees, song sparrows, Canada geese and robins giving it their all. As it got darker the American woodcocks got going and in with the gang of spring peepers we could pick out calling wood frogs. An old park ranger friend of ours describes this as another glorious Appalachian Spring! Ain't it the truth. Enjoy.
