Subject: [CT Birds] Beavertail Pt. RI. Worth the trip
2/22/23 - We were at Beavertail Pt in the RI park of the same name between 10:00 - 11.15 am (1 1/2 hour drive from Madison).  Approx. 300 Common Eider; all 3 Scoters (only 1 White-wing) with emphasis on Black Scoters: nearly 100, vocalizing and displaying, the most we had ever seen in one location.  In addition, about 50 Harlequins and 4 Long-tails, each of both sexes.  If you have the time, we recommend it.
