Sure wish it wasn't so far down there. My brother sees flocks of swallow-tail kites sometimes in NW Florida when he's cutting hay. It’s a recent years thing. We never saw them there while growing up. First one I ever saw was there in about 2007.

I was down birding on Skeen’s Farm and saw easily 100 or more mixed flocks of Swallow tailed and Mississippi Kites! The time is now. They were observed from 11:00 to about noon August 4. The Mississippi were in greater numbers than the Swallow tailed.
