Subject: Mokane Road, North Jefferson City
Had a brief drive this morning. Summer birds continue on Mokane Road in the form of Eastern Kingbird, Dickcissel, Western Kingbird, Indigo Buntings, Scissor Tailed Flycatchers. The new treat was seeing a MERLIN on the wire about a half mile down from the water plant.  He soon flew off.  Shorebird area is nonexistent and is planted in soybeans.
