Sunday, November 28 at 8:00 am. In-person sea watches at coastal locations

Chris Loscalzo will present “The Wintering Waterfowl of Long Island Sound”
on November 27 at 7:00 pm online via Zoom.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing
information about joining the meeting.

Learn how to identify the different waterfowl species that are present in
and near the LI Sound in winter. Learn how to differentiate among species
of Loon, Grebe, Scoter, Eider, alcids and others.
People who participate in the Zoom meeting on Saturday evening can attend a
sea watch the following morning at any of several locations along the CT
coast. Advance registration for the Sunday sea watches is not required.

Zoom Presenter: Chris Loscalzo is a former COA president and has presented
these Workshops for the past several years. A frequent field trip leader
and active environmentalist, Chris has been an avid birder since the age of
12 and an active member of the Connecticut birding community since 1990. He
is immediate past-president of the Connecticut Ornithological Association,
past-president of the New Haven Bird Club, and longstanding compiler of the
New Haven Christmas Bird Count as well as a major contributor to the CT
Bird Atlas. If it's bird-related, Chris is likely to be involved in it

the Zoom presentation will be available to COA members with a registered
account on the COA website under the Members Only tab.
