Subject: State College Christmas Bird Count for 2021 on Sunday, December 19
The State College Christmas Bird Count for 2021 will take place Sunday, Dec 19 as part of the 122nd Audubon Christmas Bird Count which is from Tuesday December 14, 2021 through Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

If you wish to do the same route this year, or do a different route,
or if you wish to participate and do not have a route,
or you would like to accompany someone else on their route,
or if you know a non-club member who would like to participate,
please respond to this note or tell the compiler below as soon as possible.

After the results of the count have been entered on the Audubon web site, you can view them as follows:
1. go to;data=04%7C01%<7Cscbirdcl...>%7C9370e0fc0b7147980c0c08d9a4a7fa6f%7C7cf48d453ddb4389a9c1c115526eb52e%7C0%7C0%7C637721863623231742%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=a7W4sIBM8ZzxSCTkSvBJjtvKSC2eVFLrgLVtJTFF1qw%3D&reserved=0
2. scroll down and click on “CBC Results” and then click Current and from the pull-down list select "Results by Count”
3. enter the code PASC in the box "Count Code”; click the small circle in the displayed count area description
4. choose your report format (PDF, Word, etc), and click Export to download the report.

You can do that now for last year's count by selecting Historical instead of Current in the above instructions.

It has links to a map of the count circle and a downloadable copy of the Report Form that can be used for the State College or Bald Eagle State Park count. The count circle maps include a static approximate circle, and a more precise circle that can be displayed with Google Earth and viewed at any zoom level.

This is the second CBC we have had to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic. If you participate and are considering going with one or more persons in the same vehicle, you should carefully consider how much risk is involved.

Have a good CBC and stay safe!
