cassin's finch have returned to hanna, with the arrival of two
resplendent males. striking color against seven inches of new snow.

i don't know how many skeletons the aos will find in the cassin closet,
but when and if they get around to changing this bird's name, i hope that
they are more kind and creative than they were to the mccown's longspur. i
suggest magenta finch.
