Subject: [ia-bird] Cinnamon Teal, Wagner Wetlands
Cinnamon teal x shoveler is an interesting thought. The bird is hanging
with a small flock of shovelers. The bill on cinnamon teal is usually
between that of blue-winged teal and shoveler in size and shape. One thing
I see in the picture, which was not apparent in the postures that I was
able to observe through the scope, is the pale area near the rump. That
might also suggest some shoveler heritage?
