Subject: [obol] Oregon Vesper Sparrows are IN!!!
In recent days there seems to have been a big push for migrant "Oregon" Vesper Sparrows (the threatened/endangered subspecies nesting west of the Cascades).

Within the past few days, Bob Altman and I have found a couple of dozen birds on known nesting sites around Corvallis that we're monitoring as part of an American Bird Conservancy project.

Please keep your eyes open for any banded Vesper Sparrows that you might see, and send me a note if you manage to get a photo, or pick out band colors.
