Columbia Estuary Report - 4/3/2021

Two male PURPLE MARTINS were at Stanley Marsh in Seaside yesterday and
there were several CLIFF SWALLOWS at Svensen Island today which means
all the commonly occurring swallow species have checked in for the season.

There were multiple SAVANNAH SPARROWS singing along Jackson Rd in
Brownsmead today and AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS at several locations.

Most of the easy to see Osprey nests now have easy to see OSPREYS on
them.

Steve Warner reports CASPIAN TERNS at the mouth of the Necannicum and
he saw a bright ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER early in the week.

TUFTED PUFFINS are expected any day now...
