Subject: [NHBirds] Some FOYs around Great Bay
Osprey Cove yielded few ducks but did have a FOY Pine Warbler and a cavalcade of chickadees in two distinct flocks. The corn stubble at Great Bay farm did not disappoint with 6 FOY Wilson’s Snipe, 4 Turkey Vultures milling about on the ground and a FOY Kestrel atop a recently erected house. Two more Kestrels at Short Street as well as a very accommodating FOY Savannah Sparrow feeding on the ground next to the ‘parking logs’. Lastly a pair of FOY Osprey near one of the platforms inside the weapons depot. It was a very good day for Phoebes (8) and flickers (5). 110 Black Ducks and a scattering of goldeneyes scaup spp and Bufflehead.
