Subject: [NHBirds] GWT Hillsboro/East Washington
A flock of 7-8 mixed male/female Green-winged teal in a nearby field, which
is covered in several inches of Spring runoff water, today at 4:30pm. This
is in Hillsboro, very close to the Washington town line and East Washington
village (1 mile up the road.) A first-ever sighting of this species for me
anywhere around here, nearby, and it is very close to home (basically right
out in front!) in over 5 years of living here. Photos good enough for
positive ID.
Hopefully they’ll stick around for a couple of days or more.
