Subject: [NHBirds] Re: Blue jay call question
I've been able to record Blue Jays in the act of mimicry on several
occasions. Starting at the 2:18 time mark on this collection of mimics are
a few examples of Blue Jays imitating Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawks.
Rather convincing by ear but also similar when viewed as a spectrogram side
by side with the bird being imitated.
