There are now mudflats on both sides of Index Rd resulting in quite a few shorebirds: American Golden-plovers, Wilson’s Snipe, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral and Least Sandpipers and, of course, Killdeer. There were a few American Pipits, too. Also found Great Egrets and Barn Swallows at the disabled hunters pool.
