Subject: [CT Birds] Brief stops in Orange
3/31 Did a brief drive around town- At Old Tavern Rd recreation fields- the
pair of Red Tailed hawks were on the osprey nest and light pole again- no
sign yet of the ospreys.
At Crosby Pond- pair of Wood ducks and pair of Pied Billed grebes (first I
have seen there), with a Belted Kingfisher and
Red shouldered hawk getting mobbed by 2 Blue Jays.
At Indian Lake a Common Loon on the lake with the other regulars.
And at Lake Wepawaug a Belted Kingfisher was the highlight. Carolina wrens
were singing loudly at all locations.
Full report on Ebird.
