Subject: Black Vulture depredation

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has established a permit system for Missouri farmers/ranchers to kill Black Vultures causing depredation to livestock. The program will be administered through the Missouri Farm Bureau. See:

The permits are for agriculture only, so this program does not address the problems being experienced at state parks and boat accesses where Black Vultures have been damaging automobile soft trim parts and other items such as door trim on buildings.
