At the end of an otherwise nice but unremarkable walk at Cottonwood Rec Area below Saylorville Dam (Polk Co.) this morning Karen and Harney and I saw a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK being badgered by two AMERICAN CROWS. The hawk alit for a couple of minutes and allowed us a decent look before heading north toward Shetler RA. Beautiful and seldom-seen bird for me.
