Weather: A brief period of morning sun with light southwest winds. A fast-moving thunderstorm with heavy rain then increasingly strong southwest winds and drizzle. When a tree fell on the power lines and the fire department had to come I decided it was time to leave.
Raptor Observations: A few dozen turkey vultures pushed through early before the wind got too strong. One Cooper's Hawk, one Red-tailed Hawk, and two American Kestrels.
Non-raptor Observations: 9 Killdeer, 5 Great Blue Herons, 3 Tree Swallows, 2 Eastern Meadowlarks.
Predictions: Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 9C. Winds W shifting N at 10-15km/h. Expect light migration.
Sunday: Rain showers with increasing afternoon winds. High 13C. Winds SW at 30-50km/h. Expect light migration.
