Subject: [NHBirds] Hummingbirds in the Snow!
In late May 2013, an unexpected and heavy snowstorm hit New Hampshire during peak hummingbird migration. The result was a nerve-wracking time for North Country birders as they made efforts to help the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds endure the wet, heavy snow and frost. Read all about it in this article and photo gallery from the Spring 2013 issue of New Hampshire Bird Records: ("Hummingbirds in the Snow" begins on page 30).

Other articles in this issue include: The Connecticut River Valley-Vernon Dam and Hinsdale Setbacks; Fallout!! May 2013; photos and field notes from the 2013 spring season and of course a Photo Quiz. Enjoy them all!

New Hampshire Bird Records is providing free access to its archives during the Covid-19 outbreak to help birders find information on birding locally and to remind us of the joy of birding.
