Hi SouthBay birders,
While at Stevens Creek County Park early this week, I saw a strange-looking bird that looked like a Yellow-rumped Warbler with sap. Interestingly, even the head and wings seemed to have been covered in black. Is it sap on the feathers, or is it just wet? Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Vinayak
