Following David Di Siena's report of open water on the Tomhannock, I went yesterday afternoon. The waterfowl were of the usual variety and the best sighting was Great Blue Herons (5) and Double-crested Cormorants (3, a bit early) checking out the nest island at the south end of the reservoir. Spring is here!
