Subject: [sbcobirding] Bird Refuge/Stearn's Wharf
Returned to the Bird Refuge this morning to see how waterfowl diversity was holding up. Still good but less than Friday. Mallard, Northern Shoveler, Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, Lesser Scaup, Canada Goose, Cinnamon Teal, Hooded Merganser (3 female), Wood Duck (2 male). Also had 5 species of swallow (Northern Rough-winged, Tree, Barn, Violet-Green, Cliff).

From there went to Stern's Wharf area. One lingering Snow Goose at the drainage channel east of Mission Creek outfall. Checked out the gull flocks near the wharf. Mostly Western, Ring-Billed, and California but there were 2 Royal Tern and 8 Glaucous-Winged Gull. Also a (presumably) troubled sea lion was on the beach just east of the wharf. Nothing else of note at either location.

That's all,
Rob Lindsay
