Weather: Sunny. Cold with strong northerly winds in the morning that weakened throughout the day eventually shifting westerly. Sudden shift to southwest at the very end of the day that was too little too late but will continue overnight.
Raptor Observations: A steady trickle of turkey vultures plus small numbers of other expected species. One merlin.
Non-raptor Observations: Fewer ducks on bay, 20 American Coots, Pied-billed Grebe.
Predictions: Saturday: Sunny. High 11C. Winds SW early then shifting W at 10-15km/h. Not perfect conditions but the best day in a while! Blue skies will make spotting more difficult. The Bird House will be Facebook live-streaming from the hawk watch at 10am. Expect moderate to good migration.
Sunday: Sunny. High 11C. Winds ESE at 10-15km/h. Expect moderate migration.
