Lompoc -- Two Cassin's Kingbirds flew over silently but did not light in either the vines or on the power lines, or on the tree in the parking lot behind my mother's house. They looked like birds on a mission. Heading north-west. It seemed odd to me to not see at least one eating berries after the three weeks of seeing them every day.
