The Baton Rouge Audubon Society will host a presentation by *Laura
Erickson *(Zoom registration link below) on Thurs, March 11. Laura has a
long list of accomplishments and accolades to her name! An avid birder and
writer, Laura has authored twelve books about birds and is currently a
columnist and contributing editor for BirdWatching magazine. She is also a
scientist, teacher, wildlife rehabilitator, photographer and producer of

PRESENTATION TITLE: Into the Nest: Intimate Views of the Courting,
Parenting, and Family Lives of Familiar Birds
DESCRIPTION: Based on Laura and Marie Read’s bestselling book of the same
title, Laura will talk about the challenges birds of a few representative
species face in selecting mates, mating, producing a suitable place to
deposit and incubate eggs, and rearing and educating young. She will also
give a bit of information about how Marie and the book’s other
photographers got some of their amazing shots.
