Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Stillwater Marsh - 2/21
A patch of open water has remained at Stillwater throughout the cold spell. There were hundreds of waterfowl there yesterday with pretty good diversity. Also, a couple of shorebird species on the ice! as well as American Pipits.

-18 Northern Pintail
-16 Canvasbacks
-40 Redheads
-30 Ring-n. Ducks
-2 Greater Scaup
-3 Lesser Scaup
-6 Common Goldeneye
-1 Ruddy Duck

-4 American Coot

-12 Killdeer - struck by a gemino curse (as in the Lestrange vault) - first there were 3, then 6, then 12
-1 Pectoral Sandpiper - found originally by Joe Bailey
-4 Ring-billed Gulls

-1 Hairy Woodpecker

-12 American Crows
-2 Carolina Chickadees
-1 Carolina Wren
-4 American Pipits - also hit with the gemino curse - first 1, then 2, then 4
