Nancy Moeller and I stopped at Duck Hollow about 5:20pm on February 12, 2021. Cold, overcast with slight drizzle as darkness came in. During a 40-minute stay we observed the following birds:
6 Canada Geese
20+ Mallard
1 Ring-necked Duck (drake)
8 Scaup sp. (4 drakes, 4 hens) [too far upriver for positive ID]
4 Common Merganser (3 drakes, 1 hen)
9 Ruddy Duck
1,000+ Ring-billed Gull (scans and photos of gulls only revealed Ring-bills)
