No, not chicken coops -- chicken hawks! Ie. Cooper's Hawks.
Over the years I have noticed an affinity of Cooper's Hawks for silos as perching (hunting) locations.
They like to sit on the top of the ladder.
I assume it is because of all of the pigeons, starlings and house sparrows that congregate around barns and silos.
Has anyone else noticed this?
