Today there was a decent assortment and quantity of waterfowl on the Monogahela river in the Fredericktown/Millsboro section of Washington County. The current low temperatures have caused local ponds and lakes to freeze over forcing waterfowl onto the rivers. Hopefully, variety and quantity of waterfowl will further improve as the temps further drop.
Seen today:

Canada Geese
Mallards
American Black Ducks
American Wigeon
Gadwall
Greater Scaup
Ruddy Duck
Hooded Merganser
Common Merganser
Redheads
Horned Grebe

Enjoy your birding,
