- Comments: "Not present during a brief stop at noon. Mostly soft feeding calls. One or two flight calls show in spectrogram, and appear to best fit Type 2 (Large billed; Pine-feeding)"

- Comments: "Male and female seen perching briefly in the same dead tree behind the Eucalyptus trees close to the end of the public road. Then they flew over the road and I lost them for a moment. From the same location I saw a female up in the tall palm tree near the power pole busy collecting nesting material, which looked like thin fibers. Then, the female flew further east into the avocado grove and out of sight. Poor photo due to long distance."

- Comments: "Female. Found by David Compton on 23 January 2021. In willow riparian a few meters west of the western of two red bridges that cross the creek. Bird stayed close to larger trunks and branches. Dorsal: a black warbler with white stripes forming superciliary lines and a central crown strip and streaks down the back. Two bold white wing bars. Ventral: white with two weak blackish streaks on sides. Throat white, faint auricular patch. No vocals."
