1/5/21 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 9:40am-11:15am. low tide, sunny, 37F. On the marsh:3 Hooded mergansers, 3 Gadwall, 3 American Wigeon, lots of ring billed and herring gulls. On the grounds/feeders and paths: 1 Carolina Wren, 1 Mockingbird, Brant, 3 Mourning doves, White throated sparrows, Song sparrows, 1 Red tailed hawk sitting on top of tower, 2 House finches, 7 Chickadees, 2 Tufted titmouse, House sparrows, and 3 male Cardinals. On the Long Island sound side: Ring billed and Herring gulls, 2 Great black backed gulls, Brant, Canada Geese, about 45 American black ducks, Common Golden eyes, 1 Common Loon, 1 Mute Swan, large flock of dunlin and sanderlings.
