Today I was very surprised to see a first winter male Yellow-headed Blackbird in with a large flock of Brown-headed Cowbirds, at the YMCA in Wilkesboro. The flock moved on fairly quickly, and I was not able to re-find them, or get pictures, but I suspect the flock may be hanging around the general area, with the YHBL in tow.
