At around 12:30PM we saw a Snowy Owl sitting on the ground next to runway marker "C" at the Finger Lakes Regional Airport. It would fly a short distance from the runway each time a plane landed but then would soon return to the same spot. We were able to see the owl from Chadwick Road and from Airport Road but it was a pretty distant look from either vantage point.
At around 1:40PM we saw a Gyrfalcon at the Seneca Stone Corporation quarry. While looking southwest from the corner of Hoster and Stahl Roads we saw the Gyrfalcon perched atop the nearest large mound of rocks. We had it in our scope for about 25 minutes and a half dozen or so people got a good look at it.
At 3:20PM three bald eagles flew low over the parking lot next to Cayuga Lake State Park's park office. Two flew east towards Cayuga Lake and one flew westward. None of the eagles had white heads/tails.
