Any of you who know Craig Provost are well aware that he shuns attention and is as far from a self-promoter as any human could be. So, I'm pleased to be the one who shares news of his extraordinary birding feat, in which he has become just the second birder to record 150 species in all 14 of Vermont's counties, each within a single calendar year. A Fish Crow in Bennington clinched it for him this past June. Craig's decade-long odyssey took place quietly, unassumedly, efficiently, and expertly. Here is an overview of his amazing accomplishment, with gratitude and awe for the inspiration it provides the rest of us.
