Just left the water tray outside my window. I feel staggered, never seen here before though I heard an odd woodpecker like 'laugh' yesterday but no bird seen. (not the trill call, I think what Cornell calls the 'cha cha') ... definitely male; others are reporting these birds but this seems far north! A new year gift.
