Here is the current status on the SM CBC. The Pandemic increased participation and eBird helps with increased submittals. These may slow compilation but provide a more comprehensive count. We are currently at 106 species. The previously posted highlights in Lordship included Canvasbacks, Common Eiders (found in other coastal areas), Black-bellied Plover, Purple Sandpiper, Iceland Gull, Great Egret, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Orange-crowned Warbler, Common Redpoll (also at other areas), Red Crossbill (also at Milford and Long Beach), and 1 White-winged Crossbill. The Long Beach Area also had a Northern Pintail and Glaucous Gull. Cormorants, Owls and icterids were well-represented. Clapper Rail and American Bittern were at Silver Sands. Marsh Wren was another remarkable find at Milford Point. A freezing trip on the Port Jeff Ferry was loony, but failed to turn up any rarities on quiet seas and light NW winds. Notable misses included Wood Duck, Green-winged Teal (CP), Greater Yellowlegs, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Pileated Woodpecker (CP), and Eastern Towhee.
