Here are the incomplete and less than exact highlight summary from the Napatree CBC. This count halves itself across the RI/CT border and catches the eastern end of Fishers Island, NY. Still waiting for exact returns. CBCs without compilations are like ... I don't know - a hug without a squeeze? What's a hug? So 2019, that kind of intimacy.
PAINTED BUNTING - RI -a female found at the intersection of Oceanview Hwy and Bayberry Rd in Watch Hill. The bird was seen right next to the road on Oceanview Hwy at the 25 mph sign from the yard at the NE corner of the intersection. The yard has high hedges and most of the excellent habitat there is difficult to see from public view. It encompasses a pond and scrub-shrub wetland that extends to Kathleen Rd to the NE. Birdy from all access points, most of the area is not observable. The bird was not refound after the initial sighting.
