My bad, I misidentified a bird. A few people pointed out the last bird was a Hermit Thrush. No wonder its bill, wing colors, eye rings looked subtly different than the CA Towhee photos. I am thinking of getting a small portable recorder. Does anybody use it? Some of the smaller birds are really hard to identify. Thanks for all the help. Happy birding.
