A trip out to two locations in Royalston got visuals of male and female Pine Grosbeaks, one female White-winged Crossbills, a female Evening Grosbeak, and flyover flocks of White-winged Crossbills (and two Ravens) by Beaver Pond on Swamp Road in the Birch Hill Dam Area (Army Corps of Engineers). 20+ Evening Grosbeaks feeding at a feeder on Athol Road, just down the street from Royalston Public Library and Common. Red and White-breasted Nuthatches, Black-capped Chickadees were in large numbers in both places.
Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary (Massachusetts Audubon Society) in Princeton had 2 continuing Pine Grosbeaks (m and f) feeding in the crabapple tree across from the visitors center.
