- Comments: "We saw a single female winter plumaged Surf Scoter diving in the deep salmon pools at Matson Park, in the Rogue River. The bird was a large bulky diving duck with a sloping forehead and large sloping bill. This duck had a vertical white area at the base of the bill and a largish white spot in the cheek area behind the eye."

Feeding in the west side ditch just just at the gyrfalcon site. Was out in the open offering great views then flew north into the small patch of trees nearby.

Very colorful sparrow with bicolored bill, orange crown and face stripe, bright white wing bars."
