- Comments: "I am feeling quite lucky that this individual stuck around this long for some great looks and study. Same story as most over the bast few months. Feeding strictly with the SANDs but would often get separated from the flock and stand awkwardly alone for a few seconds. Distinctly taller than a DUNL and bigger build in head and body than a STSA. Will add those photos when I get back to NoCA this week."

- Comments: "Elegant sandpiper - longer neck, legs and bill than a Dunlin would have. Pale supercillium. Decurved bill. White eyering. Slightly dusky breast and neck. Feathers on back have pale edges giving it a slightly scaled appearance. Fed by inserting bill full length into the sand. Initially seen quite near the staircase. Sanderling flock worked down beach quite a way then came back towards the stairs."

- Comments: "Sited at west end of the refuge near the zoo. In dense vegetation and dead tree debris. Moved between base of reeds and long, partially submerged tree trunk. Continuous and active - foraging in the mud. Followed ~30 minutes before having brief but unobstructed view. Small bird with grey middle stripe on crown and rufous stripes on either side. White throat, yellowish/ buff malar. Dark rufous wings."
