Subject: [ia-bird] Red-necked Grebe, Black Ducks - Linn County
Today there was a RED-NECKED GREBE at Pleasant Creek Lake north of Palo.
It was hanging out near a rock fishing jetty near the South end of the
dam. There was a COMMON MERGANSER and a pair of GREATER SCAUP at the very
north end of the North Arm of the lake. There has been a disturbing lack
of waterfowl on Pleasant Creek Lake this fall!

The Marsh at Power Plant Rd. and Hollenbeck Rd. had the usual large number
of TRUMPETER SWANS, a few TUNDRA SWANS and a few dabbling ducks including
two AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS.
