Weather: Sunny, unseasonably warm. Light wind out of the NW then W. Wind direction changed to SE at 11AM then ESE with velocity increasing to average of 5 mph. All but one raptor was seen after the wind change to SE.
Raptor Observations: 53 migrating raptors. 1 Bald Eagle (adult) at 1:14 PM. EST 14 Golden Eagles close to the escarpment: Adults: 10:26; 11:06; 11:46; 11:53; 1:08; 1:11; 1:55; 3:35; 3:37; 2 at 3:56. SudAd: 3:38 Juvenile: 11:43; 1:12
Non-raptor Observations: pileated woodpecker; hairy woodpecker; white-breasted nuthatch; black-capped chicadee; approx. 60 robins; ravens; bluebirds. sulphur butterflies. A woodland jumping mouse was seen by Dave Darney Sat night. Also possible fisher spotted by Ed Gowarty Sat night.
