Subject: [CT Birds] Long Beach Redpolls +
Big movement of goldfinches and Siskins along Long Beach out to Pleasure Beach. At least 2 male Common Redpolls were mixed in. They are quite skittish with several harriers and a Merlin hunting the dunes, but they are occasionally setting down in areas with cover and goldenrod seeds.

Also 2 Fox Sparrows, American Tree Sparrow, several American Pipits on the ground and at least 5 Lapland Longspurs.

There were at least 8 Longspurs at Milford Point yesterday and a report of a Tennessee Warbler.

2 Common Buckeyes flying at Pleasure Beach.
